First Drive-Through Garden Centre in Ballarat

Spot on Pots and Nursery are introducing Ballarat to the first Drive-Through Garden Centre.

Quality is paramount to our business, quality service and quality products. We want to ensure our customers continue to see the standard of our products before purchase. No surprises when your delivery arrives, and an assurance you are comparing apples with apples (pun intended!). Too often new customers at Spot on Pots and Nursery say “We didn’t expect it to be so healthy/advanced for that price” or “That is better than others I’ve seen for the same price” so we want to continue to give piece of mind that you are getting the highest quality options available.

Our Drive-Through Garden Centre will showcase a sample of stock from the nursery, including ornamental trees, fruit trees, shade plants, natives, grasses, perennials. Along with a sample range of many pots, garden art, statues (manufactured on-site) along the 150 metre driveway at Spot on Pots and Nursery. Our intention is to show stock from our popular collections, highlight customers’ options in a range of styles and at a range of price points.

Expert advice and service can be provided at your car window, or via phone 5335 5368. Cashless transactions are preferred for the Drive-Through service.

If you need some time to deliberate your purchase feel free to take it slow, just be aware of other customers or bring a coffee and do a few laps browsing in the Drive-Through. If you already know what you need give us a call or email and we can have your purchase picked and ready for collection – ‘call and collect’.

Entry is via Elizabeth Street (at the rear of the Nursery). Customers should drive through at 5km and please be aware that Nursery staff will continue to be working in the space. Once your decision is made park in a designated drive through parking space and await service from one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff.

There are few options for collecting your purchase:

1. We can pick the stock while you wait and deliver to the carpark for you to load into your own car
2. We can pick the stock while you wait and pack into your car for you
3. We can pick your stock for collection later that day (or another day)
4. We can take details and arrange a contactless delivery at a time that suits (additional fee may apply)

We will continue to offer service in the shop, BUT for the safety of our staff and other customers if you are unwell or someone you know is unwell please stay home. Contactless delivery is available if you require, simply give us a call to arrange this.

In the midst of the uncertainty of Covid-19 we, like everyone in the Ballarat Community are working hard to follow the Stage 3 restrictions currently in place. We do not take our decision to continue to trade in this period lightly. However we strongly believe in the benefits of gardening. We do not want these restrictions to impact our customer’s abilities to access products and services that we think are essential at this challenging time.

Research shows that getting 30 Green Minutes a day is enough to positively impact emotional, physical and mental wellbeing. During isolation self-care is paramount. Dr Dominique Hes (Plant Life Balance ambassador and researcher) explains that “being able to see plants or be surrounded by them can be an effective mechanism of dealing with stress.” In fact, 1 in 4 people are motivated to buy plants for mindfulness, and for good reason.

We hope to continue to support our community to get their 30 Green Minutes in a safe manner. You are safe at home, probably with more time on your hands than normal. So why not use this time to your advantage. Complete that gardening job you’ve been putting off for months and improve your mental wellbeing at the same time.

We hope with your support we can ensure gardens keep growing healthy in Ballarat and we can be innovative and creative in times of challenge. Be sure to like our Facebook page for specials and inspiration.

Garden Releaf Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of living greenery in your life and sees garden centres across Australia coming together with ideas, information, inspiration and events to encourage you to celebrate the joy of colour, plants and gardens to enrich our lives. Since 2015, garden centres and industry suppliers have raised over $330,000 for Beyond Blue through Garden Releaf. Spot on Pots and Nursery are joining in on March 21, 2021. Spending time in a garden has numerous benefits to a person's physical and mental well being. Garden RELEAF was established to encourage everyone to spend more time in a garden. It's not about just about digging and toiling; for some it's about simply enjoying everything a garden has to offer; fresh healthy produce, beautiful, invigorating fragrance and textures, clean air, lush foliage, flowers and natural beauty. In addition to knowing that people now are focusing more on improving their health and well being we sadly know that 3 million Australians are living with depression or anxiety. garden RELEAF is dedicated to raising awareness of how being in a garden or simply enjoying the produce from one can benefit us all. We aim to encourage more people to get out and enjoy a garden for their own health's sake and where possible to take someone else with them. Spot on Pots and Nursery will have Kombi for a Cause coffee and The Hippie Whippy ice-cream onsite. The HiveMind Community Apiary official launch at 11am. 'Lil Monsters Face Painting from 10 - 12.
